Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the highly anticipated 22nd James Bond adventure “Quantum of Solace,” announced that multi-Grammy Award-winning and platinum selling recording artists Jack White of the rock band The White Stripes, and Alicia Keys, have recorded the theme song for the film, which will be released worldwide this November.
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) has signed Darren Aronofsky to direct and David Self to write a new installment for its ROBOCOP franchise. Aronofsky, the director of The Fountain, and Self, the writer of Road to Perdition, make a formidable creative team, fast tracking the ROBOCOP motion picture and spotlighting it as one of the most anticipated new films for 2010.

Neo Ned was awarded Best Feature Film, Best Director and Best Actor went to Renner. The film was also awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking Best Feature Film Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival in April 2006. These awards come after winning the Audience Award at the Slamdance, Sarasota and Ashland film festivals.

Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ The Dark Knight rewrote the box office record books, beginning with its first showings and culminating with a record-shattering weekend gross of $158,411,483. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

Robert Carlyle is born in Glasgow. He enrolled in acting classes at the Glasgow Arts Centre after reading Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible”. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) has acquired and green lit THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, on which Goddard will also make his directorial debut and Whedon will produce. The project is the studio’s first movie to get the green light from Mary Parent, Chairman, Worldwide Motion Picture Group, MGM, who is aggressively rebuilding MGM’s theatrical production and marketing divisions.
